What is the La Grange Main St. Program?
"Preserving History, Building Community"
Our Program, the La Grange Kentucky Main Street Program, is a non-profit organization that works in various capacities to preserve the history and cultural heritage of Downtown La Grange KY, while fostering economic growth by creating a welcoming downtown.
Mission Statement:
La Grange Main Street’s mission is to sustain and grow the diversity, harmony, and economic vibrancy of the La Grange Main Street District.
Vision Statement:
To nurture and preserve a welcoming community in downtown historic La Grange.
History:
Founded in 1824, Downtown La Grange Kentucky is one of the few small towns left in America with a train running right through Main Street. As seen on HGTV’s Kickstart Program, leading it to become a popular tourist destination, allowing us to interact with people from around the globe who wish to visit the Kindness Capital of Kentucky.
